The 2026 Zone Progression Scheme is now open. All relevant information and resources (including the scheme guidance and application form) can be found on the Zone Progression intranet page.
Please ensure you read the guidance carefully before submitting your application.
Remember to fully complete the application form, noting that each section of the application form has a maximum word-count which should be adhered to. Should an applicant exceed this, the panel will only consider evidence up to the point that the word- count is reached.
Submitting your application:
To submit an application please log-in or create a user account (all communication regarding your application will be via the phone number and / or email address you register with your user account. Please keep this is in mind when submitting your application).
As part of the application process, you may see some Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) questions. These are included because the system we use is designed for recruitment processes.
These questions are not used as part of the assessment of your application. They are collected anonymously to help us understand participation and ensure our processes are fair and inclusive.
You are not required to answer these questions and can select ‘prefer not to say’ if you would prefer.
To upload your application select the correct option as set out below and then click on 'Apply for this job':

Late applications will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances. This includes current staff undertaking science expeditions and field work. Any other requests for late applications must be made via the relevant HRBP for consideration by 6 May 2026.
